Of all of the seminars, webinars, and workshops that provide fragmented information about how to operate and maintain water distribution system assets, few offer specific information vital to the effective management of PRVs. Some present on the value of these components, some focus exclusively on their maintenance and operation. There are others that present viable options for the rehabilitation and/or replacement of these important assets. This workshop concentrates on the essential procedures necessary to effectively operate, maintain, repair, replace, and troubleshoot PRVs.
This half-day workshop offers information vital to understanding PRVs presenting the following topics:
• The value and importance of PRVs within the water distribution system
• The essential processes necessary for operating and maintaining PRVs
• A mechanism for determining the frequency of required PRV maintenance
• Tools to assist operators in properly evaluating the condition of PRVs
• Assistance to the operator to develop “Best in Class” O & M procedures for PRVs
• Procedures to troubleshoot problems associated with the operation of PRVs
• Processes essential to confirm the reliability of PRVs and their components
This workshop has been approved by the Operator Certification Program Office
